From an early age, I wanted to be a writer and editor. (Yes, that is a bit unusual for a child.) With this goal in mind, I graduated from California State University, Fresno with my master's degree in mass communication and journalism, at the time believing I'd be a newspaper reporter. Yet, I quickly discovered my passion lay in writing and editing for book publishers and magazines. I began freelancing a number of years ago, working on magazine articles and books for various publishing companies. Soon, I found myself on staff at a book and curriulum publishing company, overseeing the proofreading team. There, I gained an understanding of the publishing process. I quickly stepped into the assistant editor role, giving me experience working on higher-level editing tasks and dealing with author concerns. Again, I wasn't in this position long before I was promoted to editor, a task I enjoyed for some time. Throughout the years, I've overseen over 300 projects through various stages toward publication.

Drawing on this experience, I am now operating my own freelance editorial business. Through De·Scribe Editorial Services, I commit to serving my clients with the utmost professionalism and integrity. I commit to helping you develop the highest quality publications. After all, my work doesn’t just reflect on me, it reflects on you. I promise to work as an extension of your team, collaborating together and seeking a unified vision for the products under development. I promise to expend every effort to exceed your expectations. And I promise to help you keep your projects on time and on budget.
